Consuming Arts is happy to collaborate with Articipate and Chef Jay Ravani to present an evening of musical storytelling and paired tapas. Oscar Wilde’s story, The Nightingale and the Rose, has been set to music by former Detroit Symphony Orchestra principal flutist, Ervin Monroe. Dr. Chelsea Koziatek performs the musical interpretation of the story while Dr. Tia Harvey narrates the text. $45 includes music performance and full tapas menu below. [Click here for tickets]

Chef Jay has prepared 4 paired tapas to enjoy along with the performance:

Catalan Pork Sausage with White Beans “White beans slowly stewed with smoked ham and blanketed house made grilled pork sausage.”

Paella “Saffron rice, chicken, chorizo, shrimp, and vegetables.”

Tomato & Watermelon Skewers: A recipe by Ferran Adria “Watermelon and tomato combined with a citrus”
